About Rocky Mountain Detox — Licensed Addiction Treatment in Lakewood, CO

Rocky Mountain Detox is a licensed and accredited addiction treatment center located in Lakewood, Colorado — a short drive from Denver — serving individuals and families seeking medically supervised detox and residential treatment for drug and alcohol dependence. We have been in continuous operation since April 2020, providing evidence-based, individualized care under the clinical oversight of licensed medical and behavioral health professionals.

Our programs are certified at ASAM Level 3.7 WM (Medically Managed Intensive Inpatient Withdrawal Management) and ASAM Level 3.5 (Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Services) — the two highest levels of inpatient care in the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s national continuum of care framework. Every service we provide is delivered by a qualified, licensed team under the direct medical oversight of our Medical Director.

Accreditation and Licensing

The Joint Commission Accreditation

Rocky Mountain Detox holds accreditation from The Joint Commission — the most recognized independent healthcare quality standard in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation confirms that our clinical programs, staff qualifications, safety protocols, and patient care standards have been independently evaluated and verified to meet rigorous benchmarks that most treatment centers do not achieve.

For individuals and families choosing an addiction treatment program in the Denver Metro area, Joint Commission accreditation is one of the strongest and most verifiable indicators that a facility operates to a documented, independently reviewed standard of clinical quality.

Colorado State Licenses

Rocky Mountain Detox operates under active Colorado behavioral health entity licenses issued by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment:

  • 1348 Pierce Street, Lakewood, CO 80214 — License No. 2868-BHE002
  • 1336 Pierce Street, Lakewood, CO 80214 — License No. 2868-BHE001

Both facilities have been continuously licensed and in operation since April 2020. These licenses are verifiable through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s public facility licensing database.

ASAM Certification — What Our Level of Care Means

Rocky Mountain Detox is certified to provide two specific ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) levels of care:

  • ASAM 3.7 WM — Medically Managed Intensive Inpatient Withdrawal Management: The highest level of care for medically supervised withdrawal from drugs and alcohol. ASAM 3.7 WM requires 24-hour nursing care, daily physician availability, and the capacity to manage medically complex withdrawal. This is the appropriate level of care for individuals whose withdrawal carries significant medical risk — including alcohol withdrawal, opioid dependence, benzodiazepine dependence, and polysubstance dependence where medical oversight is clinically necessary.
  • ASAM 3.5 — Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Services: Twenty-four-hour clinically staffed residential treatment for individuals who need a structured, supportive living environment alongside intensive therapeutic programming — typically following completion of medical detox or for those whose psychosocial challenges require residential-level intervention beyond what outpatient care can provide.

These ASAM designations are not marketing terms — they are regulatory standards that define the clinical and staffing requirements a facility must meet to provide that level of care under state license. Confirming a facility’s ASAM certification is one of the most reliable ways to verify that it is operating with appropriate clinical oversight for the level of care being sought.

Our Leadership

Dr. Arshad William, MD — Medical Director

Dr. Arshad William, MD serves as Medical Director of Rocky Mountain Detox. As Medical Director, Dr. William provides direct clinical oversight of all medical services at the facility — including the supervision of medically managed detox protocols, medication management, and the ongoing medical monitoring of clients throughout their inpatient stay. The presence of a physician-level Medical Director is required for ASAM 3.7 WM certification and is central to Rocky Mountain Detox’s ability to safely manage withdrawal from substances that carry significant medical risk.

Kristine Litman, LAC — Clinical Director

Kristine Litman, LAC serves as Clinical Director of Rocky Mountain Detox. Holding a Colorado Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential, Kristine provides clinical leadership across all therapeutic programming — including individual therapy, group therapy, family programs, dual diagnosis treatment, and aftercare planning. The Clinical Director oversees the development and delivery of each client’s individualized treatment plan and ensures that therapeutic services are delivered to the standard required by our Joint Commission accreditation and Colorado state licensing.

Our Clinical Team

Rocky Mountain Detox’s clinical team is composed of licensed and credentialed behavioral health professionals working under the supervision of our Medical Director and Clinical Director to deliver individualized, evidence-based addiction treatment.

Jason Capp, LPCC & ADDC

Jason Capp holds credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and Alcohol and Drug Dependence Counselor (ADDC) in Colorado. Jason provides individual and group therapy services and works directly with clients on the psychological and behavioral dimensions of addiction and recovery.

Lucinda Conde, LSW

Lucinda Conde is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) providing clinical support and case management services at Rocky Mountain Detox. Lucinda works with clients and their families across the full continuum of their treatment stay — from intake through discharge and aftercare planning — supporting the social and systemic factors that contribute to and complicate addiction and recovery.

Brie George, ADDC

Brie George holds an Alcohol and Drug Dependence Counselor (ADDC) credential and provides addiction counseling and therapeutic support to clients at Rocky Mountain Detox. Brie’s work focuses on substance use education, relapse prevention skill-building, and the development of practical recovery tools clients carry with them beyond their inpatient stay.
